After releasing exclusively on PC – without regular controller support even – 2K Games has now confirmed the inevitable: XCOM 2 is coming to consoles.
Sequel to the amazing XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM 2 didn’t quite win us over, thanks to some peculiar design decisions, bugs and general performance issues. It also only supported keyboard and mouse and the Steam Controller as input devices – other controllers were frozen.
However, aside from the obvious controller support coming in, there’s also now hope that all of the issues we covered in our review will be ironed out by the time XCOM 2 hits PS4 and Xbox One in September.
Developer Firaxis Games will be working with The Workshop on the console port, 2K confirms.
