Updates galore: Far Cry 2, Tomb Raider, Wii releases

So many updates; I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with the upcoming games. From the Take-Two stable, both Midnight Club Los Angeles and Top Spin 3 are set for release in India next week. MCLA will see a Day One release on October 24 and will be priced at Rs 1,999 for the Xbox 360 and Rs 2,499 for the PlayStation 3. Top Spin 3 will also carry identical price tags. You can also expect Civilization Revolutions to release around the same time.

Next week, we will probably also see the release of the latest installment in Konami’s acclaimed survival horror series, Silent Hill. Silent Hill: Homecoming should be in stores latest by the end of the coming week. Unfortunately, due to region restrictions, the Xbox 360 version will not be release here. The PS3 release will be priced at Rs 3,499. If you’re really eager to get your hands on this title, a look at our IVG Offer might be worth your while.

Tomb Raider fans have something to shout about as well. The latest Lara Croft adventure (featuring the lovely Alison Carroll), Tomb Raider: Underworld will see a Day One release in India. The game will be available in India on November 21, and the pricing isn’t half bad either. The Xbox 360 version will be priced at Rs 1,999, while the PS3 version will cost Rs 2,499. Surprisingly, the PC version will be available for just Rs 699, not customary pricing for new, high-profile PC titles.

Next up – Ubisoft. Far Cry 2 will hit store shelves in November, first for PC followed by the console versions. The PC version will be available in the first week of November and will be priced at Rs 999. The console versions will release sometime in mid-November and due to the unstable Dollar exchange rates, we don’t have the final prices yet. But you can expect the PS3 version to be priced at around the Rs 3,000 mark, with the Xbox 360 version retailing for a little less than that. For those wondering about Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, that too will reach store shelves around the same time as Far Cry 2.

Moving on to the Wii, here’s a list of Wii titles that are either already in stores or will be making their way to store shelves in the near future (click here for a list of available DS titles):
