Ubisoft Annecy joins list of studios developing The Division

More developers have been brought in to help with the development of Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Ubisoft has brought Ubisoft Annecy on to develop the game, but Massive Entertainment will remain the main developer of the online shooter, along with Red Storm and Ubisoft Reflections.

Ubisoft Annecy has expertise in multiplayer titles and has helped to develop the multiplayer side for most of the Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed series.

“We are very happy that Ubisoft Annecy is part of The Division’s family”, said Massive Entertainment MD David Polfeldt, adding, “They are highly experienced and talented developers, adding much value to the project. Being able to work with other studios offers fantastic creative opportunities during development and, in the end, strongly benefits the overall quality of the game.”

The Division was one of the most impressive of Ubisoft’s reveals at E3 2013 and is confirmed to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

A release date has still not been mentioned for the title, but till then you can check out the E3 gameplay reveal below, and expect to see more this coming E3.
