PuBG September patch is now live — new locations, weapons, fog weather effects and more

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds September patch has been pushed to live servers and thanks to the recent change to the patch cadence, it is a whopper.

This is after the changes were tested for about 48 hours on the test servers. The changes affect many different aspects of the game and introduces a new town called East of Stalber. The UI has been tweaked with the option to change crosshair colours being added in along with Quality of Life changes like players having the capability of marking their own position on the map sans placing a marker.

The update also introduces changes to how Battle Points (BP) are distributed to players. This is to combat AFK players /bots from farming.

The complete patch notes can be found here.

Apart from this, Brendan Greene a.k.a. PLAYERUNKNOWN has tweeted that the BattleEye anti-cheat system has banned over 150,000 cheaters from the game since it went live in March. Out of which more than 8,000 were booted out in the last 24 hours.

These are some serious stats for a game that has sold more than 10 million copies while consistently hitting a peak of a million concurrent players.
