If September wasn’t already looking like a great month for gaming, the free games announced for PS Plus members next month could hit the spot. The PlayStation Blog has announced that PS Plus subscribers will be getting Darksiders 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight as free downloads in September. The offer starts from September 3, all the way to September 30.
Darksiders 3 lets you control Fury, the third out of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, in a quest to track down the Seven Deadly Sins. Darksiders 3 was presented with a noticeably different gameplay style from the previous two entries in the series. This one stands apart with fewer but more challenging enemies and a fresh arsenal of weapons, the most notable one being Fury’s default whip – Barbs of Scorn.
Batman: Arkham Knight concludes Rocksteady’s Arkham Trilogy, which also consists of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The series is largely attributed to finally doing justice to a character like Batman in videogames, and also re-defining the way comic book-based games should be made. While Rocksteady has since gotten extremely silent about their next project, PS Plus subscribers do get their sole offering to the current generation of consoles for free next month.
There are still a few days before these games show up on the PSN store, so it’s a good time to pick up Sniper Elite 4 and WipEout Omega Collection for free till September 2.
