Ogre Head Studio reveals hack-and-slash roguelike Asura

Ogre Head Studio is a Hyderabad-based indie developer “seeking to bring a change in this clone-infested, movie-based Indian game Industry” and it has revealed its first game.

Asura is an ambitious hack-and-slash roguelike filled with elemental runes, spell-casting and loot. The game is inspired by Indian mythology and is currently planned for release on PC (browser) and mobile devices.

Asura was showcased at Casual Connect Asia last month, and a demo version of it is currently playable on the game’s website.

Ogre Head is a three-man team comprised of ex-members of Rocksalt Games, which released Roadkill Xtreme for mobiles last year.

“Ogre Head Studio is all about hack, slash and everything epic,” says studio co-founder Zainuddin Fahad. “We have always been big fans of the RPG and RTS genres, and that’s what we and our games are all about.”
