NFS: Most Wanted ditches unlock system, gets more social

EA’s upcoming Need For Speed Most Wanted will not use the traditional unlock system to gain access to better cars, instead providing them almost at the start. It will also let you smash your friends’ faces!

At Gamescom 2012, executive producer Matt Webster spoke about how Most Wanted has broken free from 20 years of tradition and how it uses an open structured approach to let players drive whatever they want, whenever they want. He further added,”If you can find it, you can drive it.”

Webster also took the opportunity to introduce Autolog 2.0 which is set to add deeper social integration in the game. He then demonstrated how besting your friends would work by smashing through a billboard of Peter Moore’s face. Another addition is CloudCompete, a new feature allowing players to track friend activity and earn multiplayer points across devices such as Vita, Mac, PC and iOS based devices.

Need for Speed Most Wanted releases on 2nd November 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Vita. It will also have a release for iOS and Android devices.
