After years of rumours, we finally get confirmation that a Metal Gear Solid movie has been greenlit. The news comes straight from the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event being held in Japan today and it seems Columbia Pictures will be handling the transition from video game to big screen.
The movie will be produced by Avi Arad, the current CEO of Marvel Studios, which has produced the successful Iron Man and Spider-man movies in recent times. Cast and crew haven’t been decided yet, but series creator Hideo Kojima is a self-proclaimed Christopher Nolan fan, so you never know. Fans around the world are also hoping Christian Bale joins in on the action for one gigantic nerdgasm.
