Even though Max Payne 3’s sales were lower than expected, Rockstar is still (almost) on track when it comes to all the downloadable content planned for Max’s latest outing.
However, Rockstar has tweaked things a bit by combining five packs of DLC into three larger packs over and above the Disorganized Crime Pack, which will be released this month absolutely free.
Here’s the new schedule for all Max Payne 3 DLC:
- Disorganized Crime Pack: August (Free)
- Hostage Negotiation Map Pack: September (800 MS Points on Xbox Live, $9.99 on PSN and PC)
- Painful Memories Map Pack: October (800 MS Points on Xbox Live, $9.99 on PSN and PC)
- Deathmatch Made in Heaven Mode Pack: October (800 MS Points on Xbox Live, $9.99 on PSN and PC)
Unfortunately, most of these map packs are relegated to the multiplayer side of things, and so far I’ve seen a steep drop in the number of players after the first month itself. The last pack, however, should be interesting as it’s supposed to add in some sort of co-op mode to the game.
