Update: PlayStation India has just provided us with their latest PS3 Essentials list that includes locally manufactured PS3 games priced at Rs. 999. They are:
- God of War Collection Volume 1
- God of War Collection Volume 2
- God of War 3
- Killzone 3
- Resistance 3
- Motorstorm Apocalypse
- Uncharted 2 : Amongst Thieves
- Heavy Rain Move Edition
- Sports Champions
- The Fight
Original story: MCV India has just received a heads up from PlayStation India informing them that local replication of PS3 games are underway. Starting things off are Sony’s first party games like Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and God of War Collections 1 and 2 that will be available by the end of April for Rs. 999, as opposed to their previous price tag of Rs. 1,199.
Following this trend next month will be God of War III and the Move Edition of Heavy Rain. Sony has also informed MCV that from now on, all first party games will be manufactured locally including Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated, The Last of Us. Prices for upcoming games were not mentioned, but we’re hoping they’ll be significantly cheaper than the current price of Rs. 2,999 most PS3 games sport.
