It’s official: All three GT5 editions coming to India

Some say it’s the reason the PlayStation 3 exists; and that its release date has already been declared a national holiday in 21 countries. All we know is it’s called Gran Turismo 5. And we’ve been hinted at it before, but we can now finally officially confirm that all three editions of GT5 – the standard edition with just the game, a Collector’s Edition with a few added goodies, and a rather obscene Signature Edition – will be available in India on Day 1 (November 3).

The Standard Edition, of course, is just the game, which will retail for the regular price of Rs 2,499.

The Collector’s Edition is really the one to get for most fans. For a price of Rs 2,799, you get the following:

  • Gran Turismo 5 game
  • Exclusive Special Edition inlay sleeve art
  • 200+ page ‘Apex’ driver’s magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more
  • Five Collector’s Edition art cards featuring exclusive artwork
  • ‘ChromeLine’ vehicle pack: 5 performance-enhanced cars ready to race
  • Exclusive dynamic theme to customize your PS3 XMB

Last is the Signature Edition (pictured above),  and at Rs 11,990, you’d either have to be a serious Gran Turismo fan or a little insane to pick this one up. Here’s what it includes:

  • Gran Turismo 5 game
  • Sculpted metal box, finished with SLS AMG Obsidian Black paint
  • SLS AMG 1:43 model car
  • Leather GT-branded wallet
  • Branded USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer
  • GT branded metal key fob
  • Coffee table book featuring the cars and locations of GT5
  • 200+ page ‘Apex’ driver’s magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more
  • ‘ChromeLine’ vehicle pack: 5 performance-enhanced cars ready to race
  • 6 additional in-game ‘Stealth’ cars including the McLaren F1 and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
  • Exclusive dynamic theme to customize your PS3 XMB

There’s less than a month to go. Preorders will get underway soon.

And on that bombshell, goodnight!
