Microsoft has confirmed that in order to play the ‘Infinity’ multiplayer component of Halo 4, users will require as much as 8 GB of free space.
In addition, gamers have been advised to install Halo 4 for the “optimal experience”. Details about the size of the installation have not been provided yet.
The need for such a substantial amount of free space could come as a deal breaker for owners of the Xbox Core consoles and other owners with relatively smaller HDDs. However, franchise director Frank O’Connor said that a lot of effort has been put in to ensure that the ‘Infinity’ component would work even if the user chooses to install it on a USB stick.
Halo 4, the eight installment in the franchise, is being developed by 343 Industries . The game is scheduled for release on 6th November, 2012.
