We mentioned a while back that Guitar Hero 5 would be making its way to India. We’ve now been informed by Worldwide CD ROMs, the game’s distributor in India, that the game will begin appearing in stores starting today for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii (NTSC U/C).

Guitar Hero 5 will be priced at a rather unreasonable Rs 7,499 for all platforms, and the bundle will only include the game and the guitar controller. You may remember that the same bundle for Guitar Hero 3 retailed for a considerably lower Rs 5,299. We’re told an unfriendly fluctuation in Dollar exchange rates is to blame for this price hike. Also, standalone copies of just the game disc will not be available here.
If you decide not to drop everything and rush to the nearest store to pick up a copy, we won’t blame you. But if you do experience a sudden craving to play rock star, just know that a copy of Guitar Hero 5 isn’t far away.
