Gotham Knights is now official; gameplay revealed

We get to take a look at a slice of how the upcoming game from WB Montreal would play

DC Fandome is going pretty strong, and one of the opening highlights was a look at Warner Bros. Games Montreal’s latest offering – Gotham Knights. The series moves away from letting you play as the Batman, and instead gives you control of other members of the Bat-family, namely Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin. Here’s what the plotline somewhat looks like –

According to the game’s official release, an exploding criminal element has swept through the streets of Gotham. With the Belfry as their base of operations, the new heroes will solve mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history and must defeat notorious villains in epic confrontations.

This also includes the Court of Owls, which has been teased by the studio time and again. There was also a pretty cool gameplay trailer reveal showcased that showed some sweet Batcycle action, stealth and action elements. Take a look yourself –

The game will be playable in single player mode as well as two-player co-op, which does add an interesting dimension to the Arkham gameplay style. On a side note, it has been confirmed that the Robin we see here is Tim Drake and not Bruce Wayne’s son, Damien Wayne.
