Sony and Microsoft have separately stated that they’ve set an RRP (recommended retail price) of $59.99 for their first-party games, effectively maintaining the price point of first-party releases on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Earlier, rumours had suggested that both PS4 and Xbox One titles would retail at a higher price point of $69.99.
“We have announced the pricing for our first-party line up of PS4 launch and launch window games,” a Sony representative told Shacknews. A Microsoft representative also confirmed Xbox One game pricing to Kotaku and Polygon.
