Call of Duty Modern Warfare supports cross-platform multiplayer, 2v2 alpha this weekend

Players across PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be able to compete with one another

Call of Duty Modern Warfare made an appearance at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, and the big announcement was that the title will feature cross-platform multiplayer support, which means that PC, PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to compete with one another.

The Gamescom presentation also paid special attention to the COD MW’s new 2v2 multiplayer mode, which is designed for intense battles across tight maps. And to give players a taste of the action, this mode will get a PS4-exclusive public Alpha this weekend.

Starting August 23rd, PS4 players will be able to partake in the Gunfight mode open alpha across five maps. PC and Xbox One players will have to wait for the beta a few weeks down the line.

Check out the trailer below for what the Alpha this weekend holds in store.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is scheduled for release on October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The console versions are available for preorder at Games The Shop, priced Rs 4,499.
