Ashes Cricket 2009 demo on Xbox LIVE today

Codies have announced that a playable demo for Ashes Cricket 2009 will hit Xbox LIVE today. This of course applies to the UK, but it shouldn’t be long before the demo shows up on the Indian marketplace. Open to Gold members at the start, the demo will be available for Silver members starting July 30. There is no word on a PC or PSN demo as yet.

In the demo, the player will be able to sample 6 overs of an Ashes Test between England and Australia at Lords. Both batting and bowling will be available in the demo.

Update: According to Planet Cricket, the PC demo will be available from next week.

Ashes Cricket 2009 will hit stores in India on August 7 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. You can preorder the game right here on IVG.
