Two words. Vapour ware.

One word. Wrong.

I'm already in the closed beta, and have been for months now. Along with hundreds of thousands of other players who are participating in it. The game is real, perfectly playable and quite a lot of fun actually. And it's going live in a couple of months I believe.

Thanks to gamespot i'm in the closed beta as well but i haven't played the beta yet cause i'm a tad lazy when it comes to

downloading the 4gb client >.<. I've seen it at a friends place and it seems like uber fun.

I'm probably gonna download the client soon. I'll post my impressions once i play the game a bit.....

The client is not 4GB. Yes, I know the installation size shows up as 4gb when you install the firefox plugin, actually it's just a few mb, and the game client is less than 300mb.

I play Heroes all the time, my characters are GlignarGaslows, GoggiPickles & TicklesPickles.

+1 the client in mozilla does show 4gb but it gets downloaded within 5mins but the game installation takes some time

yep the client is only 320mb extracted, and a little less than that to download since it all comes in compressed zip files.

you don't want to do that. it would be a violation of the NDA.

no it isn't. you can get beta keys instantly, sign up, download the browser plugin and then download the game through it. what's so hard about that?

Activating game isn't much of a problem but the game got some serious problems. One of it shouldn't be like buying stuff. e.g BURNING BULLETS - One has to purchase it & some of the inexperienced players get easily killed in it. But a good looking funny game from EA, should release the final version soon.

you don't have to 'purchase' burning bullets... you can invest points in various abilities as you level up. burning bullets is one of them.

Like from where & how?

after you've launched the client, and before joining a game, there is a menu called 'my stuff'. in that, there's an option for abilities and that's where you get them. burning bullets is only for soldiers though. commandos and gunners get other abilities.
