playstation Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 Tales of Graces Developer: Namco Tales Studio Publisher:Namco Bandai System:Wii, Ps3 Release Date: Out now(japani version), 2011 (English version) Tales of Graces (テイルズオブグレイセス Teiruzu obu Gureisesu?) is the 12th mothership title and the newest generation in the Tales series for the Wii and PlayStation 3. It follows lead character Asbel Lhant, who desires to obtain greater strength. Its characteristic genre name is RPG to Know the Strength to Protect (守る強さを知るRPG Mamoru tsuyosa wo shiru RPG?). The opening theme is "Mamoritai: White Wishes" (まもりたい ~White Wishes~?, Want to Protect ~White Wishes~) by BoA. The game was originally released exclusively for the Wii in Japan on December 10, 2009. The game would be ported to the PlayStation 3 similar to how Tales of Vesperia, its predecessor, was also ported to the PlayStation 3 as Tales of Graces F and was released in Japan on December 2, 2010. Namco Bandai has recently confirmed an English language localization of the PS3 port of the game via a website. Tales of Graces F Tales of Graces F (テイルズオブグレイセスF Teiruzu obu Gureisesu Efu?), styled Tales of Graces ƒ, is an enhanced port of Tales of Graces for the PlayStation 3 and was released on December 2, 2010. The letter "F" in the name stands for "future". The game will include additional content similar to the Tales of Vesperia port for the PS3 as well. The game includes an additional story arc which takes place six months after the end of the original story, the name of the chapter translates to "Lineage to the Future" and will solve the remaining mysteries of the game featuring a script three quarters as long as the original story line. Other additional contents include additional new story scenes within the original story, improved high definition graphics, new game secrets, new character costumes and new Blast Calibers. The game features several tie-ins with other characters including 4 Code Geass costumes namely Suzaku for Asbel, C.C. for Sophie, Kallen for Cheria, and Zero for Richard as well as a Toro costume for Pascal and a Hatsune Miku costume for Sophie. Numerous games in the publisher's RPG series were announced and released in Japan with no hint of a localization, with the community relying on various fan translations to get by. After being teased for a week by NamcoCommunity Manager Rich Bantegui, North America fans finally get a bone thrown their way. Through their teaser site, Namco Bandai has announced that Tales of Graces F will be seeing a North American release, with no date set as of yet. Graces F released in Japan over the Christmas holiday for the PlayStation 3, and is an enhanced port of Tales of Graces for the Wii, which released back in 2009 in Japan. No platforms for the localized version of Graces F has been announced. Why the f**k cant they release an Eng version for the TOV PS3 version as well? +1. seriously what is wrong with them...it is quite a well received game and all they need to do is port the english version from xbox version to ps3 version....and it should really well...i so want to play that game ....been hearing lot of praises abt it from milo and others. This RPG, with a dynamic real-time battle system, quests, and “hidden secrets” is slated for release on the PlayStation 3 in 2012. The game is the latest in the Tales series and the first in the franchise to hit the PS3 in North America. It takes place during the conflict of three kingdoms fighting for dominance. The story follows Asbel Lhant and as he joins his friends to discover how far they will go to protect the bonds between them. The combat system allows players to freely change their attack style depending on the situation. The revamped combat system also is easier to control than previous entries. Well considering Tales games generally don't sell well and the Tales studio being on the verge of bankruptcy a while back, I'm just happy that we're getting at least some Tales game in English :/ Sucks that we'll be missing out on TOV but it could be worse.
