playstation
^ I think you should siphon off money from your bank and resurrect Grinpeace Bionic Commando Rearmed creators launch new studio, Might & Delight The developers behind Bionic Commando Rearmed have formed their own studio called Might & Delight after departing from now-closed Swedish company Grin. The Bionic Commando remake for XBLA and PSN sold more than 130,000 copies during its first week. According to Might & Delight’s official site, the company will continue remaking retro titles but has yet to announce any upcoming titles. We are here to repeat our former success! It’s no secret that Might and Delight loves retro. We adore the delicate simplicity found in many old games. Our goal is to create experiences that looks to that simplicity while providing something fresh and accessible! The company, however, will not be contributing to the development of Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. Capcom only just announced the sequel on Tuesday, stating that the game would be made in collaboration with Fatshark. source

playstation
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 Reignites Capcom DRM ControversyBionic Commando Rearmed 2 hit the PlayStation Network just yesterday, but already some fans are crying foul. The game listing on the PlayStation Store (via NeoGAF) says, "Note: You must log-in to the PlayStation Network each time to play the game." Capcom ran into a similar controversy last year with the launch of Final Fight: Double Impact, which had the same connectivity requirement in the PS3 version. At the time, a user on IGN shared a purported response from Capcom, saying the move was to combat "rampant" game sharing on the PlayStation Network. The representative said putting the requirement in Final Fight was a way to "evaluate impact." Since it's built to deal with a PSN issue, the Xbox Live Arcade versions of Final Fight and Rearmed 2 don't require a live connection. The game seems to only check for a connection at start-up, so a disconnect while playing shouldn't end the game prematurely. source
