Smackdown vs Raw 2010 has been announced by THQ and JAKKS Pacific for release on November 10, 2009 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2, PSP, DS and Mobile. The game is the latest title in the Smackdown series of videogames which have sold over 47 million units since its debut in 1999!

 

Smackdown vs Raw 2010 will feature five wrestlers on the cover, including John Cena, The Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Ray Mysterio, who are headliners in the game.

 

This newest title promises “to deliver player freedom never before experienced in the SmackDown vs. Raw franchise” and will be fully unveiled on SummerSlam via pay-per-view on August 23, 2009 from the Los Angeles, California Staples Center.

 

“John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio are incredible WWE Superstars who represent the athleticism, creativity, individuality and strength of today’s live WWE programming,” said Brian Coleman, vice president, global brand management, THQ. “These powerful traits symbolize our vision to give players extensive creative freedom and make WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 the most authentic, entertaining and compelling simulation of live WWE programming to date.”

 

“The WWE SmackDown vs. Raw titles keep getting better and better, and we are honored to have such incredible classic Superstars as John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge and Rey Mysterio on the front cover of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 for all platforms,” said Nelo Lucich, senior vice president of interactive, JAKKS Pacific. “Their intensity and commitment to wrestling excellence epitomize the spirit of this year’s videogame.”

Why do they keep making it for the PS2? It cripples the game on the next gen systems completely. They should at least make one version for the PS3/360 and another for the Wii/PS2. But no, every year we get a hi res version of the PS2 game.

 

Not that THQ would care. They have a goldmine here. They make small changes every year and it ends up selling 2-3 million copies easy.

hav out grown wrestling big time..

Hell i brought a ps2 just for "shut your mouth" and later on Here comes the pain was awesome..

 

but after eddie's death (not because of the death, i just posted it here to giv a specific time) i kinda lost interest.. I try to get see it time to time but it sux now.. Khali mania was good for a while but nothing can match HBK :huh: in his awesomeness in early 90's and later on rock-stone cold rivelry

eh.. after here comes the pain and maayyybbee th first svr .. the game's been dead. for me.

used to stay wit 2 f my cuzs a couple o years bak and we especially got a multi-tap to play triple threats in here comes the pain.. man.. those matches lasted hours.. awesum fun.

Used to watch from the Brett Hitman days... Undertaker and his dead again rises again antics was fun for a while. And then Brock lesner shook the ring (quite literally)... Then came a phase where i started idolizing Goldberg (Man that guy was huge...) Then saw it for Batista... :P

 

Now its all these stupid kids who join for fun and antics... No good storyline or anything... :P

goldberg was the only guy iv seen who was indomitable. he wasn't that huge or bulky... but man.. did he giv a royal (ref to his music) a*s kiking to ev1..!!

 

Naah he wasnt bulky but saale ke personality bhaari thi... :P

 

One can say that for Khali's structure but me finds him too freaky... :P Whereas Goldberg ki personality, wah!!! :)

 

OT: Saala gym join karna hai yaar... :huh:

i have played SVR 09...it was ok....have lost total interest in the sport...gone are the golden days of wrestling where we had bret hart hitman his brother, HBK,undertaker etc....i'll probably give it a pass....

SVR 2010 looks way better than SVR 09... The article is worth a read...

 

thats the sh*t....the SVR games keep getting better only in visual dept., gameplaywise....it's getting worse.......none can compare to SD: HCTP. this is sad. :wOOtjumpy:
