The IVG Secret Santa thread 2010

Hello.

 

Following on the tradition of previous years this is this year's iteration of the Secret Santa thread.

 

Hoping that the idea doesn't bomb and is a success :crosses_fingers:

 

Let Us celebrate the season and by being a Secret Santa for a fellow IVGian.

 

The rules are fairly simple, Everyone who is interested should post their names in this thread, I'll add them to the list.

 

Improving from last year, I'll randomize the list so that you only know the person to whom you have to send the gift, and you'll not know who your Santa is(Until you get your gift).

Guidelines to be followed -

1)

The gift

, whatever it is should be,

should be brand new,

even a new pen is more appreciable than a used game.

2)

Gifts should be sent during 20 -22nd December(or if it can't be sent during the said period, then please try to send it before) so the recipient receives the gift before Christmas, this is very important

3)

A gift wrap or nice packing would be very appreciated.

4)

Don't let anyone know whom you got for Secret Santa, as it defeats the purpose.

5)

Members who are likely to be busy(like on a vacation) or who cannot guarantee due to any reason sending a gift are discouraged to take part, as no one wants to send a gift but not being able to receive one as his Santa was busy.

6)

Post your names before 15th of December

in this thread and send your addresses to me on my PM along with your full name.

7)

Names will be dispatched soon after the last date for submission of names.

8)

When you've sent your gift, don't forget to write your name and address on it, so the recipient knows who his Santa is(only when he receives his gift)

 

Creating the thread a bit early this time, because last year many people who wanted to take part weren't aware that the thread exists.

 

Please submit your names, and make this event a success.

i had received that sort of gift...felt all the more bad because it was something that my santa wanted to get rid off...a old xbox game that was not selling in tp(which i had noticed for long time )...so please dont send things which you yourself dont want or want to get rid off...it really pisses a person off

 

and abhinit a suggestion..can you bring the date a bit forward...because many people may be going out for holidays in these days so to ship it exactly during that time may not be possible...i for one will be very busy that time...

so if you can send the addresses to people and if someone ships it exactly during that time its best or else other can ship it bit early too atleast

ok sir changed it to on or before that date , i'll send the names to everyone on 16th, so is it okay for you to send on 17th or earlier than that ?

I mean think of it this way, you open up the gift only to realize its something you already have
