I don't think they can get away with it. After the initial or holiday surge, this price point isn't Nintendo's domain. Switch sold millions due to cheap pricing and novel form factor. With SteamOS devices, don't think Switch 2 is a novelty anymore. So far no console seller games - great lineup but nothing which pushes me to get it ASAP. Very iterative, without anything standing out. Plus the mouse mode seems super gimmicky - you'll need a hard surface to use it - which means no "real" couch coop or playing in bed. Hard surface must - which is quite ridiculous tbh.

How much did Pro cost? And did you buy disc drive?

If you have indeed went ahead & spent a bomb amount already on an Xbox back in 2020 or following year then there is just no point not subscribing to GamePass…even at current rates. That machine literally has no other use but to Play Bethesda & Activision games for cheap. If you aren’t interested in Doom & COD then just sell it now.

Personally speaking I hardly feel the need to even remember what games I played on a PSone or a PS2….hardly even want to play a game or two from PS3 & that too until they are remastered. These collectors talks only look fit for some YouTubers or Influencers…not general public & I doubt anyone is even worried about what they owned 20 years ago let alone 50 years when Nintendo might shut shop.

There’s a catch. Years from now, if Nintendo decides to shut down its servers, you lose access to them. But yeah, largely speaking it’s not an issue. Personally I’d prefer to download a 100 GB game file than copying it from disc to hard drive.
