Doom games has always been fast and challenging, it's not about 'freedom to choose' but to stick to their concept. The Doom we know doesn't have how slow the bullets will become or lower the enemy aggression. The difficulty was only about how much damage you do and receive.
Hence, compared with FS games. No matter what they don't do this BS of making it more 'accessible' by that logic Ubisoft games would be loved by everyone but apparently it's the opposite of what's happening.
I don't mind much, I'll be playing on normal/hard difficulty without tuning any of these settings.
