~The TV Shows Thread~
I tried watching paatal lok S-2, so many people seems to love it and all the memes around it, which now im sure are all paid. I couldn't push myself after episode 3. Its just a 5-hrs long CID episode with better direction and camera angles, maybe I've watched too much of CIDs episodes in my school days and thats the reason its not my cup of tea. Its not just that, I dont see myself getting hooked to a story related to solving a random a*s murder. I mean there is no big mistery factor that will keep me stick to the story. Second thing which I noticed is the protagonist' hunger to prove himself and to show the people around him. Imo this part is so alien for our Indian society, we Indians dont operate like this, he is a 3 star police officer, thats it, he has nothing to prove. No indian man..... Ok, lets say No indian police officer (with 3 star) and people around him thinks like that in real life. I mean Idk how the writers convinced the entire production team that a protagonist who is a three star police officer, looking for a job opportunity for better life, that too when he's posted in delhi. I mean no problem if its a show which has explicitly detached itself from the reality, but thats not the case, they trying hard to portray the real picture of the Indian society and thts why its an issue for me. That proving part is inspired from western media. India me aisa nhi chalta bhaiyya, car ho ya na ho, bc 3 star hai, 10 car walo ko utha ke andar kr dega kal ke kal, aur 20 hazaar andar ek din me.
