That's why it's rushed. They ignored many key parts of the mythology, ignored the realms conflicts and too much focus on Atreus and angrboda and their relationship.
Have you played the game? Lesser boss fights, missing many key characters, it was more about atreus than gow, odin aim didn't explained, story was on fast forward and all the boss battles felt same, especially the final one. It was bad..
Started this. Reached Chapter 2 boss tiger vanguard. Enjoying it a lot. It only takes some inspiration from souls but it's not a souls game at all.
I like the fact that it just focuses on combat and all challenge come from combat gameplay mechanics rather than level. Like there is no penalty of dying and you can fast travel from anywhere to anywhere.
This makes you focus solely on combat and worry about nothing else.
My only worry is that it could be a lot more smoother, but I am fine when I am actually in combat.
So i went back to the game again coz some people said that first hour of game is boring but it does get better if you stick around. So i played for an hour or two and surprise surprise game does get better once you go deep into the game. Some missions are quite good and reminds me of Arkham games and boss fights were quite good as well. Im kinda liking the game now. Its definitely not as good as Arkham games but also not hot garbage. It's a decent game to play if you buy it cheap. I got for 5€ during sale and iam not regretting it.
