PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread
-They wanted to sell Milo & faked it -Then they wanted to become Wii -Then they wanted to re-invent user interface like IOS but this time through gestures -Also wanted to charge royalties in Used Discs -Then They wanted to sell on the bases of BC library -Then they wanted to become Netflix of Gaming through Cloud Streaming -Then they want to become the biggest developer on the market -Now they want to become the biggest Third Party Publisher on the market along with plans for OEM Handheld & Box that will also serve to Steam & Epic game store players!! The shift in strategies within two decades is just unreal!! -

Returnal
Playing this and I have no idea what's going on or how to progress. Not sure if I'll ever be able to finish this. It's and arcade game like contra, built with modern engine and design. LOVE the shooting mechanics and controls are super responsive. Gameplay is simple and fun. I just hoped it would have traditional linear structure as well. -

PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread
Has to be a bit unconventional as a system- since they don’t seem to be too gung ho about traditional consoles. But with Xbox, who knows? Their strategy changes everyday -

The Playstation 5 thread
I’m almost at the end I think and got hit by so many side quests all of a sudden. Planning to complete all of them before the final showdown (I’m assuming it’s final based on all the indications the game has thrown at me so far). I’m at level 45 now. While I agree on the scale and setting, the gameplay itself is not as good as ff7: remake. Clive is really op and there’s little to no strategy required except mash one eikon ability after another to take down most enemies. Even the world is mostly static and most npc are pretty dumb like standing at the same place, repeating the same lines over and over. The plot and setting is really awesome though. Feels like reading thru a grrm novel at times with all the lore.
