Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to be electrified by the first evaaah episode of This Week on IVG. That’s right! It’s got enough juice to permanently polarise Cole McGrath. For all those who are wondering what this is about (although we do feel that the title is self-explanatory), it all fits in our grand scheme of world domination. All the latest offers and contests (where we just give away stuff for FREE!) as well as a weekly round up of reviews goes in here, so it’s out there for everyone to see the kind of privileges enjoyed by IVG members.
[singlepic id=1067 w=250 float=left]For our existing members, we’ll feature what’s the latest on our forums, as well as the members who chose the week to exhibit some neurological anomalies. Classic example – Donz’s fit of madness on shout in the closing moments of the IPL final. Missed that? Why don’t you ask around? And here’s a shocker – Hellsboy, our resident Xbot and one the fiercest fighters on the legendary battlefield of Console Wars has finally bought a current-gen console!! 1000 XP for guessing which one.
The highlight of this week, however, has been Sucker Punch’s PS3 exclusive, inFamous. Cole has made his presence felt heavily among us, with IndianVideoGamer booting up the inFamous Launch Centre. Check it out for all the dope you need about inFamous if you’ve been living under a rock and have no clue what this superhero sandbox is all about. Explore it in enough and you’ll find out that we are giving away loads of inFamous goodies for FREE (it’s such a beautiful word!) in a simple contest.
The superhero fiesta continues into June with the newly launched Prototype IVG Offer. Head over to the Trading Post section to find out more. Speaking of TP, we would like to bring to the notice of everyone the latest PS3 scam and take this opportunity to remind everyone that even though we take up the onus to ensure a healthy trading environment on IVG, it’s up to the members to not let their over-eagerness get the better of them. We would also request any potential scammers to go through the scam thread, just so you guys know that you will not get away easy with IVG members. Our advice to you: Stay away.
In the gaming world at large, the biggest event of the year is around the corner: E3! And as expected, cards are being held close to the chest and fanboy temperatures are running higher than those of Delhi summers. In a sort of a salute to the same, we have launched the all new E3 forums and relaunched the… wait for it… Console Wars! The E3 edition of the greatest game of all video games is back with a vengeance, and the cyber war on IVG is all but ready to reach the epic proportions of World War 3. The fight is on, logic has been tossed out of the window (one attempt at it by our fearless shot caller was “shot” down with disdain) and you’ll even run into a couple of cats, a brilliant “Knock! Knock!” joke and Micheal Jackson over there. What else could you ask for? Go on and join the fight for, and I quote Karoo verbatim, “defending what you beleive in”. Console Wars is “teh epic winzzzzzz”
To wrap things up, here’s a round up on this week’s reviews along with the all-important score. Click away:
Tap Tap Revenge: Coldplay Edition (iPhone/iPod Touch) – 7/10
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PS3/Xbos 360/PC) – 8/10
UFC 2009 Undisputed (PS3/Xbox 360) – 8/10
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (DS) – 9/10
Also, if you’re inspired by The Reader in all the wrong ways and would much rather hear than read the reviews, tune into our latest Podcast for that and more. We’ll be back soon; another 1000 XP for guessing when.
