System requirements unveiled for Marvel’s Avengers PC beta (and the retail release)

With the Avengers closed PC beta just a few days away, Square Enix has announced the system requirements for the PC version of the game.

First up, the good news. It seems the PC version of this game will be fairly competent and will run on older hardware too. The port is being done by Nixxes, the same studio behind some of Square’s other well received PC ports. The PC version of Avengers will also ship with full mouse and keyboard support, unlockable framerates, widescreen monitor support and lots more. Furthermore, if you have a powerful enough card, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the high res texture pack – that by the way will be available for the beta as well.

Here are the requirements for both the full release as well as the beta:

Minimum:
– OS: Windows 10 64-bit
– CPU: i3-4160 or AMD equivalent
– 8GB RAM
– NVIDIA GTX 950 / AMD 270 (min 2GB video ram)
– DirectX 12
– 75GB HDD space

Recommended:
– Windows 10 64-bit
– CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K, 3.4 Ghz or AMD Ryzen 51600, 3.2 Ghz
– 16GB RAM
– NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB.
– DirectX 12
– 110GB SSD space

The PC closed beta for Marvel’s Avengers begins this weekend for customers who have pre-ordered the game. The beta can currently be preloaded on Steam. Next weekend, the beta opens up for everyone on all platforms.
