Mafia: Definitive Edition delayed; India to get a physical release on PS4 only

The Mafia remake titled Mafia: Definitive Edition will now be launching September 22, 2020 instead of its original August release date, thanks to the ongoing Covid crisis.

“Though we’d originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28, finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience, ” read the official statement from publisher 2K.

All we’ve seen of this title so far has been a CG trailer, but developer Hangar 13 has promised to showcase gameplay on the 22nd of this month. You can see a snippet of gameplay in the teaser below, and it definitely looks impressive.

While the Mafia remaster will be launching on all platforms digitally, Mafia: Definitive Edition will be sold in India in the form of a physcial copy for PS4 only at Rs. 2,999.
