Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to release on June 26, 2025, exclusively on PS5.
The announcement was made during Hideo Kojima’s SXSW panel, accompanied by a 10-minute trailer showcasing new gameplay and story elements. The trailer includes a reference to Solid Snake, featuring a character named Neil wearing a bandana resembling the iconic Metal Gear Solid lead.
The game retains familiar elements from the first Death Stranding. The trailer shows Sam Bridges exploring varied locations rustic and urban settings across multiple weather conditions.
Pre-orders for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach open on March 17, and the game is also getting a $230 collector’s edition.
