Netflix’s hard hitting crime drama, Narcos is getting the video game treatment in the form of a turn-based action game called Narcos: Rise of the Cartels.
While the Netflix show started off showcasing the exploits of drug lord Pablo Escobar, and moved on from there, the game will take place during the events of the first season itself. Players will either get to play as the ruthless cartel, or the driven DEA (Drug Enforcement Agents) agents determined to stop them.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is being developed by British studio Kuju games and will be published by Curve Digital, best known for this year’s GTA inspired top down game – American Fugitive. While the game hasn’t got a concrete release date yet, it’s slated to release this year itself for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
