Developer Hideo Kojima’s highly awaited Death Stranding will ship with a “very easy” mode, the game director confirmed on Twitter.
Normally there’s only Easy Mode, but we added Very Easy Mode for movie fans since we have real actors like Norman, Mads, Lea starred in. Even Yano-san who never completed the 1st stage of PAC-MAN, was able to complete the game on Very Easy Mode ???? https://t.co/fMZmuZltZw

He goes on to say this mode is mainly geared towards “movie fans” AKA people who don’t wish to keep dying over and over again. Jokes aside, a lot of gamers tend to drop down the difficulty in many games today simply because they don’t have a lot of time or because they’d rather concentrate on the story instead of having to retry certain sections multiple times.
And given Death Stranding’s impressive cast that features Norman Reedus (Walking Dead), Madds Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Troy Baker, director Guillermo del Toro among many, it’s only naturual for Kojima to cater a difficulty to cinema buffs.
Death Stranding arrives November 8, 2019 exclusively for the PS4.
