Call of Duty: World War 2, Destiny 2 prices hiked in India

Activision’s two major shooters for the year, Call of Duty: World War 2 and Destiny 2 have had their price revised in India.

Spotted by Gadgets 360, the new prices for the games on PS4 and Xbox One are mow Rs 4,499 ( earlier Rs 4,299). The PC version does not escape this price rise either, so you will have to shell out Rs 3,799, compared to the original price of Rs 3,499.

Gadgets 360 has quoted sources as saying that the new pricing is thanks to the implementation of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST). It’s worth nothing, however, that other publishers and distributors have not raised their prices (yet). Even first-party games from Sony and Microsoft have stuck to their guns, which makes this move an odd one.

If you had pre-ordered the games earlier, you are in safe hands as WWC, the official distributor for Activision in India, has stated they will honour older pricing.

At the time of writing, Amazon has not updated the pricing on Call of Duty: World War 2 0r Destiny 2, and Amazon also offers price guarantee against future price increases. GamesTheShop, however, has updated the pricing to reflect these changes.

Call of Duty: World War 2 comes on November 3 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while Destiny 2 will release on September 6 for consoles and October 24 on the PC.
