Gran Turismo Sport finally has a release date

After years in development and innumerable delays, Sony has finally announced a release date for Gran Turismo Sport.

Gran Turismo Sport will release on October 17, nearly four years after the launch of the last iteration, Gran Turismo 6, which was a PS3 release.

More information regarding new tracks and cars will be released as we close in to the launch, but for now developer Polyphony Digital has detailed four editions for the game that will make it to the EU region, within which India falls:

Standard Edition

  • Base game only

Day 1 Edition

  • Livery Stickers (in-game)
  • In-Game Credit (Cr. 250,000)
  • 60 PS4 Avatars
  • Racing Helmet – Chrome  (in-game)

Steelbook Edition

  • Steelbook
  • Six additional cars
  • Livery stickers (in-game)
  • In-game credit (Cr. 1,500,000)
  • 60 PS4 Avatars
  • Racing helmet – chrome (in-game)

Collectors Edition

  • 18 additional cars
  • Steelbook
  • APEX Booklet (A4 sized booklet introducing the history of Vision Gran Turismo cars)
  • Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (1/43 die-cast model)
  • Livery stickers (in-game)
  • In-game credit (Cr. 2,500,000)
  • 60 PS4 Avatars
  • Racing helmet – Chrome (in-game)

It’s unclear which of these editions will be available in India. None of the physical editions are up for preorder in India yet, but the Digital Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition are up for preorder on the PlayStation Store for Rs 3,499 and Rs 4,499 respectively.
