Xigma Games bags Very Big Indie Pitch Award at Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore

At the inaugural Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore this week, Xigma Games emerged as winner of the Very Big Indie Pitch for its ‘Super Nano Games’.

The two-day conference organised by Reliance Games featured Game Hack, the first of its kind pan-India game development and pitch competition for indie developers and students.

Game Hack had over 700 developers participating, with Xigma Games bagging the coveted award and Rs 10 lakh cash prize. The runner-up prize went to Yellow Monkey Studios, creators of SocioBall.

“A platform where I could showcase my game Super Nano Games to the Indian and international stalwarts of the mobile gaming industry and receive their feedback and appreciation is a big achievement in itself and could not have asked for more. I am ecstatic with this win and thank the organisers and everyone who believed in my game. Really look forward to seeing this game go live and taking it global,” saidXigma Games founder Himanshu Manwani.

Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore featured talks from indie developer Mike Bithell (Thomas Was Alone, Volume), Peter Vesterbacka (Rovio), Misha Lyalin (ZeptoLabm), Armin Hummel (Lima Sky), Marina Mello (Bossa Studios), Mike Hines (Amazon), and Sergio Salvador (Google).
