Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Announced

CryENGINE 3 powered sequel set to appear at this year's E3.

Polish developer City Interactive formally announced Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC today. City Interactive had previously announced an unspecified followup to last year's Sniper: Ghost Warrior using Crysis 2 developer Crytek's CryENGINE 3 middleware. Players can once again expect to don a virtual ghillie suit and belly-crawl their way through even more lush jungle vegetation some time in 2012.

^^They sold more than a million copies of a game made over a (compared to most AAA games) shoestring budget. Of course they will make a sequel. They would be stupid not to.

A million copies?? :O

I have the game. I dont see the appeal. Sniper Elite is a much much better sniper sim.

No one can debate that. But hopefully they can learn from their mistakes. Worst case scenario CE3 + jungle should at least be good for some fun.

It was a budget game, less money was spent in making it. That's why it was cheap. Its not like COD or Crysis where they get celebrities to voice characters and Hans Zimmer to do the score.

Yeah but all the new games get discounts just after 15-30 days after the release. it would be wiser to release them on a lower price point at the start itself. Preferably for the new IPs like Enslaved and vanquish. So how Enslaved is selling better after the price cut.
