So 1.3 million out of 4 in 2 weeks proves my point. Pc gamers don't exactly wait for sales to get the game they like. Plus half of them got the game on gog so cdpr got a much bigger margin thr.

And those are very few :P

Mainly because of catch 22 situation mentioned earlier

I think he's talking about the majority of folks buying games on steam sales and not on launch. When people buy on launch though,You get Rain effects missing, stuttering and Boats sailing on dry land  .Its a catch 22 situation really

Hey, I think it is cool if a company has a shitty rapsheet and customers are wary about being sideswiped right.

Its justified to give your 'customers' a second class experience, I mean we should all purchase lame products from major MNC's, why raise a hue and cry about net-neutrality or draw a line in the sand because it is fine the way it is.

Addendum, in-fact you should purchase the same product twice, once the first revision and the second revision once it shows up because you know the second version is always better. In-fact sometimes you get stuff like a free cup-holder in a car, *gasp* life change.

There is nothing Catch 22 about the situation, a sh*t product is a sh*t product and by that logic Ground Zeroes could have been a 2-bit PC port because they have not released a Metal Gear game in the last ten years on the platform, how will a sub-par product matter. But hey beating the XBox ONE on Sale is not a great metric to go buy, so why bother.

Regional pricing is mainly enacted in countries like Russia,Brazil,China and recently Our Great Nation  to combat :zodka: .Regional pricing doesnt matter for corporates,Its the Big markets like US,Europe,Oceania not yielding enough dollas that does,You see the corporates dont care if steam sales make their game more money than consoles 3 years after launch. They do care about their pre-ordering,60$ @ Launch collectors edition buying console customers because they easily give them twice or thrice more sales in launch week/month/year that PC customers dont give. The population of gamers with rigs and wallets capable of running and buying todays AAA games is in the minority compared to PS4's and Xbone's in peoples homes

Regional pricing does not matter. Buy a loaf of bread for $20 and then say regional pricing does not matter. Okay. :giggle:

Still Witcher 3 combines STEAM and GoG sale numbers are a third or more for the game.

And DoTA 2 and LoL prize pots are burgeoning every year.

Yup, gents, we have all been deceived. PC gaming is dying (like a decade ago) as was prophesied during the last-gen.

they sure do care about sales on pc man... aisai koi sale nahi rock deta games ka. Port banana hai toh dang se banao. if for some reason some thing doesn't do well on pc. You either don't release the next one or make it better. Making an even worse game doesn't help anyone

^ Just buy two versions of the same game, I am sure the second one would get a graphical face-lift or maybe 60fps and sometimes you can even get emotes man. So much WIN.

Like I said, exception, not a rule. And its still pretty good number for buggy broken piece that was downgraded to hell and back and had what, 4 or 5 patches in a month? But hey, its fine because its made by my favorite company. For everyone else, its ethics yo.

Going by GZ and overall Fox engine performance though, I'm pretty sure PC version would be fine, you can buy it day one with your eyes closed.

^ It was running, it looked pretty good (not 2013 target footage), the game did not require Dual GTX TITAN's to run at a respectable frame rate, oh! And you know even without the patches, things were not beyond hope like was the case with Batman, with Parity, with Watch_Doges and a couple of other games that can be added to the litany.

And you know what, we probably would not have to buy the remastered edition of the game(s) to enjoy 60fps but hey, CINEMATIC FEELS bro.

So I guess dark souls is also an exception.. I don't have all the "exceptions" to list here since these records aren't normally public. As for downgrade, Dark Souls 2 was also downgraded, Watch Dogs too but that got working with mods but the game was meh so. Also these downgrades happen mainly because of consoles(but i don't see anything wrong with it) As for broken release, have you seen the change log for the game?. GTA online on console didn't even work at launch. Don't know why u mentioned these things anyways. Also I don't rmr the last time any developers gave free content for a game or release enhanced editions free for those who got the earlier versions

^ Unless UBISOFT tops it with Syndicate, I think it can have the crown. They earned it.

meh I don't care about AC series anymore but Syndicate looks like a step down from Unity in terms of being experimental.. they seem be playing it safe this time around. This refund system will put a lot of things straight :)

By exception I meant in terms of sale. Take any modern AAA title, and the PC version is almost always the least selling one (unless there's a Wii U version). As for downgrade, more than consoles its the low end PCs and their specs used as minimum spec that holds the visuals back. If consoles are holding PCs back then there must be a PC exclusive that looks insanely better than consoles. Can you name one, just one such PC exclusive that makes Driveclub look like last-gen title?

I am also talking about sales of "dark souls" here . exclusives regardless of the platform tend to look better anyways.. As far as W3 goes a 750ti +i3 is able to give you better than a console experience on PC . So I believe if the game was developed exclusively for each of the platform than ob PC version would have been the closest to the e3 version. this gen console cant even do 1080p 60fps(unless its a last gen port) which should have been the standard by now. Crysis and Witcher 2 were PC exclusives(at release) of those time and we all know how they compared to other games

Star citizen hasn't released yet so didn't want to mention it. Anno I know looks good but since I nvr played it myself it skipped my mind. Only heard about Arma so dunno much about it. The games I mentioned are the only ones I rmr being amazed by how good they looked. [emoji1]
